Product Inspection/Sort & Report
In any production process, there will be products that do not conform from time to time. When you outsource your fulfillment tasks, it can be hard to monitor the appearance of non-conforming goods and keep issues in check. To help meet this need, Direct Contract Packing offers a sort and report service that provides you with a regular full inspection of goods.
As a part of this report, any non-conforming goods are segregated out of the production chain. This guarantees that only retail or end user ready products remain in the warehouse under your name, protecting your reputation as a provider of quality goods.
During the sort and report, both the type and level of damages or imperfections will be tracked. In some cases, goods will have to be scrapped, but in others, close inspection can reveal opportunities to salvage goods and reduce the cost of errors and waste. Direct Contract Packing does provide salvage services, and repairs damages where possible.
Whether products have arrived in the wrong format, been inappropriate labeled by customs agents, or packed in the wrong quantity, Direct Contract Packing can help. At the end of the production run, an official report will be issued that will let you know % volumes of conforming and % volumes of non conforming product. This, along with the follow up actions needed to make goods ready for retail, will help you maintain your margins and monitor your goods throughout the complete shipping process.
